marc jacobs turns to the past for inspiration.

Marc Jacobs debuted his A/W 2010/11 collection for an anticipatory crowd in New York and was received with glowing reviews. Jacobs, a fan favorite, is known for his fun, desirable, and sometimes eccentric garments. The designer took a simplistic approach to his recent collection, perhaps giving a nod to troubling economic times. His vintage-esque collection was tailored and refined. Jacobs included wool, cashmere, cable knits, velvet, furs and feathers into the garments and chose a gray color pallet highlighted by creams, browns, rusts, and yellows. Approximately sixty garments debuted; below are images from my favorite ensembles.
