knits abound!

The hottest designers showing off their latest F/W 2010 collections during London’s fashion week weren’t the only looks creating buzz. Abundantly spotted on men from the United States to Milan were layering it on thick with chunky knits and lots of layering. It seems as though for many, oversized pieces paired with fitted pants were key.

jason wu. spring 2010.

paul and joe.

Typically I don't go ga ga over girly, flirty ensembeles or trends, but Paul and Joe's newest collection would make any girl feel fifteen again. Drawing inspiration from Disney's Bambi and WB's Gossip Girl, the garments for Fall 2010 showcase delicate patterns, a playful color story, and youthful silhouettes.

Manish Arora's recent art deco/spaceage/Bollywood inspired collection was full of bright whimsy and futuristic charm. The Galactic models wore neon head pieces and sparkles filled the runway.

goodbye christian lacroix?

The prestigious French luxury fashion label Christian Lacriox is in murky waters. According to WGSN, foreign investors are interested in purchasing the company and a restructuring plan, in which only 12 individuals preserved their current positions, occurred. Production of both ready-to-wear and haute couture have stopped and Christian Lacriox himself has left the company. The company is millions in debt and is closing two of their Paris stores. Is this the end for Christian Lacriox?
